In Roof Solar PV Systems

A solution for tiled pitched roofs is to install an in roof system. The process of removing the roof tiles to the Solar PV array area and installing a purpose made and bespoke trough system to the roof structure which allows the Solar Array to be recessed into the roof providing, a water tight and aesthetically pleasing finish.This reduces the visual impact of the solar photovoltaic system and can assist with obtaining planning permission in areas that require special permission or on listed buildings.

This type of mounting system is slightly more expensive than the standard “on roof” type, but when installed during a re-roof of a property can provide savings towards the cost of the replacement roof tiles.
